TE Laboratories (TelLab) is a multidivisional environmental monitoring company. TelLab was established in 1991. Divisions include an environmental testing laboratory accredited to ISO 17025 standard, R&D, oil testing and chemical manufacturing and distribution. TelLab employs highly qualified technical staff and their facilities include specialist laboratory equipment and workspaces. They are currently involved in several funded projects as both partner and coordinator. These projects include several FP7 projects and nationally funded projects. Website: www.tellab.ie

Role of TelLab in the COMMON SENSE peoject: TelLab is involved in the laboratory development of heavy metals sensors and validation.

Staff profiles working in the project:
Mark Bowkett: BSc Chemical Engineering, PGDip International Sales. He is the Managing Director of
TelLab. Mark is responsible for establishing domestic and export sales platforms of TelLab products and services. He has successfully project managed numerous internal and externally funded R&D projects including national, cross-border and QUESTOR projects. He will be responsible for administrative, legal and financial aspects referred to his entity in the project and as well from the technical tasks assigned.

Breda Moore: Technical Director is responsible for commissioning new equipment, method development & new test methods, the implementation of the standard operating procedures, quality procedures and systems adopted throughout its laboratories including the environmental, production and oil testing laboratories. Breda has a BSc in Chemistry, a City and Guilds certificate in Quality Assurance and a Diploma in Quality Management. She also has a vast amount of experience in the interpretation of environmental legislation and in the optimisation of test methods to ensure they comply with these requirements.

Peter O’Byrne: Quality Manager is responsible for the day to day running of the Environmental Laboratory along with the maintenance of the Quality System in place to ISO 17025. He has a BSc in Applied Chemistry along with over ten years working in the laboratory sector. In these ten years he has a large amount of experience dealing with the environmental testing needs of a large array of industries along with the different demands placed on these industries. He has responsibility for the operation along with the introduction of new tests to the pharmaceutical laboratory.
